Why me?

I have been on this life journey for over six decades now and hope to make maybe three more. I have spent roughly half of that time (38 years as of this date) practicing in the field of education. I only want to do that for about another 4 or 5 years, so maybe a half decade more. The past 8 years have been in higher education, where I am a tenured professor of education, teaching graduate courses in school administration. I am married to Julie and between us, we have 5 children, 10 grand children, three cats and two dogs.I hope you enjoy my ramblings here. 

I write this for my own amusement. Should you also find what I say amusing or in some way beneficial, please  feel free to tell me so. If not, that is certainly your business, and, at least for now, your freedom. However, I don't need to know that you disagree with me, or that what I say, how I say it, or that you judge me completely wrong. I am fully aware of the fact that I speak only for myself.
